‘Night Duty’ (or ‘The Unreliable Ramblings of Madmen!’) by Mark Russell. It takes an irreverent and surreal look at the world of politics, philosophy and physics through the eyes of a trio who between them have more characters than the ‘Three Faces of Eve’! A fast-paced, satirical, comical drama which was well-received when first performed at the 2006 NewWriting NewWorlds Festival in Glasgow. This piece of work deserved to be performed again and we are delighted to present it, updated to reflect current political events. Running time – approx 30 minutes.
‘Desk Job’ by Paul Bishop was first performed at a rehearsed reading by the respected Actors and Writers London where it received an enthusiastic reception and positive feedback. Now it gets its first staged performance. This dark comedy takes a critical look at the perceived hierarchies in the 9-5 office world. It is performed as a series of short, sharp scenes between manager and subordinate and has a sweet twist at the end!. Running time - approximately 45 minutes.
The whole evening will be £5.
